SIZE: These fit normal and wide Mason jar lids
MATERIALS:
Worsted weight cotton yarn (or acrylic) in your choice of colours
Ribbon or elastic
4.5mm hook
INSTRUCTIONS:
Using the colour you want for the flower
Rnd 1: ch4, 12 sc in ring. sl st to join
Rnd 2: Working in front loops only for this round. *(sc, 3dc, sc) in next st, sc in next* repeat from * to * around. Join to first sc with sl st. Finish off colour
Rnd 3: With right side of work facing you, join green (or your choice of colour) in any back loop of round 1. sc in each st around.
Do not join but keep working in continuous rounds
Rnd 4: 2 sc in each st around. 24 sc
Rnd 5: (sc in next st, 2 sc in next st) repeat around. 36 sc. For smaller sized lid - skip next round and continue from round 7
Rnd 6: (sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next) repeat around. 48 sc
Rnds 7, 8, 9, 10: sc in each st around. At end of rnd 10, sl to fist st to join
Rnd 11: ch1 sc in same st, ch1, sk next st (sc, ch1, sk next st) repeat around. Join with sl st
Rnd 12: ch1 sc in same st, sc in each st around. sl st to join
Finish off and weave in ends
Thread ribbon or elastic through the ch1 spaces on round 11
